"BioOrganicSintez", a young and dynamically growing company, started its activity under this slogan. We aim at the cutting-edge technologies of producing organic fertilizers free of any chemicals. Recently our company has presented its first innovative product – "Gumat-Organic", an all-purpose concentrated organic fertilizer. It's a powerful biostimulant of soil fertility. Evgeniya Ponomareva, the director of "BioOrganicSintez" company, told us about peculiar properties of this biological innovation, shared her team's plans and spoke on their participation in this project.

- Evgeniya, let's focus on key points. Why is your product unique?

"Gumat-Organic" is an innovative multi-purpose product. It's a 100% natural (not synthetic) fertilizer that has a number of distinctive properties. It significantly speeds up ripening, increases crop capacity, as well as improves plant immunity to bad weather, diseases and pests. Besides, the field trials conducted in the testing area of Moscow State University has shown that this agent aids in reclamation of soils contaminated with oil products and heavy metals.

It was one of the most interesting scientific experiments. Soil polluted with chlorides and diesel fuel was grass-seeded. In separate plots of land seeds were pre-soaked with "Gumat-Organic" and later treated with our fertilizer.  As a result, the "Gumat-Organic" product increased the yield of lawn grasses in three times (289%) in comparison with plots of land that had not been treated with humate. Untreated plots had only separate weed sprouts grown..

It has been proven that our agent prevents immense contamination of soil mantle, destroys oil spills and recovers fertility. Thus, it solves vital ecological problems of urban environment.

- However, dozens of acclaimed enterprises produce fertilizers. Don't they manufacture similar products?

- It's a question of quality. If we compare "Gumat-Organic" with other products, the following should be noted. Firstly, our product contains only mature humic/fulvic acids and mineral substances, the combination and high concentration of which ensures such amazing results. Secondly, our agent is produced from valley peat supplied from an ecologically safe area - the village of Nomzha situated in the Neysky District of the Kostroma Region. Thus, "Gumat-Organic" is a natural fertilizer free of any chemical additives and safe for human beings and plants!

- Evgeniya, you have presented a finished product. Did it development take much time?

The "Gumat-Organic" product was being developed under the supervision of Andrey Stepanov, Ph. D. in Biology, senior research scientist at the Faculty of Soil Science of M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Some scientific experiments with our fertilizer were conducted on garden cress, carrot, potato and other crops. "Gumat-Organic" has demonstrated excellent results in each occasion. No doubt, the development of this agent has solid scientific grounds. We have launched our product only after completing all the research activities, as well as obtaining necessary documents compliant with applicable laws and license for production.

- Who do you mean by "we"? Who belongs to your team?

These are the people who manufacture this product – process engineers, agronomists, workers, as well as those who have ascertained its efficiency and wants to prove it to others. Our production facilities are located in the town of Manturovo, peat extraction sites – in the Neysky District, and the sales office – in Kostroma. Our team includes 12 people, but we hope to increase our staff by extending production and creating new jobs.

- You mentioned that you have personally ascertained the efficiency of "Gumat-Organic"...

I use this fertilizer in my garden plot, grow vegetables in my own house on the windowsill applying our bioplex, and highly recommend it to everybody!

- It's the beginning of 2016. What do you plan to achieve by the end of the year?

We plan to take part in international exhibitions to present our product, establish partnership relations with other regions and open offices in other Russian cities. We are guided not only by commercial interests, but also by the desire to get people acquainted with our unique, economical and eco-friendly product, so that they could use it. It's always a pleasure to offer natural products!

In Kostroma we'd like to open the "Bios House of Commerce" – a place to present various agricultural goods, such as organic seeds, peat-and-soils, phytolamps, different fertilizers, but only natural products that allow to grow healthy and eco-friendly plants without any chemicals.

- What do you expect from your participation in the "Growing Point" competition?

- Victory, of course, but it's not the most important thing. I think that a young company needs to be supported by professional, as well as to get some advice and hints from business people, particularly concerning customer relations. In my opinion, the skill to communicate is the most significant one for a business person. Sometimes it's even more important than entrepreneurial competencies.
